FunGayDay is a non-profit event, which aims to promote Diversity and the Visibility of the LGBT community.
This is being supported by the Committee of Recommendation, which consists of following members.
Alec Mapa
is an American actor, comedian and writer. He got his first professional break in the Broadway production of M. Butterfly. He later gained notoriety for the role of Suzuki St. Pierre in Ugly Betty and is also well-known for his recurring role as Vern in Desperate Housewives. He made guest appearances on a wide variety of programs, including Roseanne, Seinfeld, Friends, 2 Broke Girls and Mom and played alongside other famed actors in Bright Lights, Big City, Connie and Carla, and Marley & Me. You may also encounter Alec as performer on Atlantis cruises. Alec lives in LA with husband Jamie and son Zion.

Lady Galore
Sander den Baas’ alter ego Lady Galore was born at Gay Pride 2009 in Amsterdam – the rest is history. She started out making her own outfits, perfecting her make-up and making appearances at various parties. She also set up drag events like Lady Galore’s drag night (which she did every week for 4 years), Fabulous Cocktail Wednesday, the Gay High tea, and the annual Drag Queens United. This year she has her own Drag Queen stage at Milkshake festival and she is performing all over Europe. She has strutted her stuff in Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Geneva, Sitges, Gran Canaria, Barcelona, Brussels, etc. She even went to Japan to be in a photoshoot on the streets of Tokyo. The sky is the limit. Galore appeared in 2 films and 4 documentaries. And in 2011 she co-hosted GayDay@Efteling.

Boris Dittrich
is Advocacy Director LGBT Program of the Human Rights Watch. Earlier, he was a lawyer, judge, member of parliament and leader of the D66 political party, before moving to New York in 2007. Boris has written a number of highly acclaimed books, among which are Elke Liefde Telt (Each Love Counts) and W.O.L.F. Boris now lives in Berlin with husband Joshua.

Piet Boogert
is General Manager of Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam, and has worked in leading positions in the hospitality industry since 1992. Apart from that, he has played a key role in the LGBT community, among other things as treasurer of the fundraiser AmsterdamDiner, board member of the Foundation Homomonument, involvement with the Pride Photo Award and by hosting events at the Lloyd Hotel. Piet lives in Amsterdam with his husband Rob.

Irene Hemelaar
Irene is entrepreneur, singer, speaker and writer. She has spearheaded equality, diversity, inclusiveness – in particular for lesbian and bisexual women in the Foundation OndersteBoven. She also played a leading role in the Amsterdam Gay Pride for 8 years.
In 2016 the city of Amsterdam gave her the Frans Banninck Cocq medal for exceptional services rendered to the city.
